Biodegradation
enhancer for oil contaminated soils
In
all cases of soil contamination by hydrocarbons, some native
micro-organisms are able to metabolise hydrocarbons and give
CO2 and water as end products.

The factors
limiting this degradation are oil bio availability, nutrients
needed by the bacteria (Nitrogen and Phosphorus), water and
oxygen availability.
BIOCRACK® helps the naturally occurring micro-organisms
to overcome these limitation by bringing organic nutrients on
the oil itself.

oil devouring bacteria; and the natural self-cleaning capacity
rises to a multiple acceleration.

The addition of a
BIOCRACK®
dispersion
in water on the contaminated soil increases the degradation
process by 3 to 10 fold; making the bio remediation even more
attractive.
At the end of the
remediation process all the oil, as well as BIOCRACK®
has been consumed
by the bacteria and the biotope is returned to its natural state;
resulting in a zero impact on the environment. Therefore, no
chemical residue and no change in the local flora.
